He&#8217;s a hilarious comedian who can be forgiven his occasional lapses in judgment (One Tonne Challenge anyone?).  Rick Mercer spent his Christmas with the troops in Afghanistan (<a href=\"http:\/\/rickmercer.blogspot.com\/2006\/12\/christmas-in-flak-jackets.html\">here<\/a>).  Aside from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/greatest\/top_ten\/nominee\/cherry-don.html\">Don Cherry<\/a>, I can&#8217;t think of another Canadian &#8220;celebrity&#8221; so supportive of our men and women in the Canadian Forces.
