Welcome to the 13th edition of the screaming pages<\/em> Thursday Thirteen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I know I’ve briefly mentioned this over the past few weeks, but it’s official – I’m heading to India from Jan 24th (landing Jan 25th) through Feb 22nd. I’ll then fly off to Manila from Feb 22nd through March 8th. Now the fun begins as I madly dash through all the preparations for the trip. Tickets have been purchased, travel visa’s have been applied for and the days before departure are flying by.<\/p>\n

This week’s Thursday Thirteen<\/a> outlines things I need to do before I can step foot on a plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Act like a pin cusion and get my vaccinations for my trip to India – Jan 23rd.<\/li>\n
  2. Attend a No Kidding!<\/a> executive meeting – Jan 13th.<\/li>\n
  3. Finish outstanding work projects – 1)<\/strong> Complete the training CSAT performance analysis and draft the final report. 2)<\/strong> Finish my current design and development projects and hand them off to co-workers. 3)<\/strong> Begin coding a simulation for language comprehension assessment.<\/li>\n
  4. Purchase meds in prep for my trip to India and the Philippines – Pepto, Ranitadine, Tylenol, etc.<\/li>\n
  5. Purchase some Salwar Kameez<\/a> to wear. The blouses and skirts I traditionally wear in Manila aren’t really appropriate for business dress in India.<\/li>\n
  6. Visit my dentist to fix the tooth I chipped last week ;(<\/li>\n
  7. Find my travel cell phone – I have two cells, one tied to a North American network and one that’s open and can be used in South Asia and the Philippines. I know it’s here somewhere…<\/li>\n
  8. Load my iPod with the music I can’t live without.<\/li>\n
  9. Get my passport back from the India Consulate.<\/li>\n
  10. Learn how to use my new digital camera so I can take lots of pictures while roaming around India and Manila.<\/li>\n
  11. Find a spare battery for my laptop – Dell really needs to update their Web site. Their order screen is still displaying the wrong battery for the model I have.<\/li>\n
  12. Purchase USD traveller’s cheques.<\/li>\n
  13. Pack my bags – leaving lots of room to bring home goodies for all my friends and family.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
