It&#8217;s now later in the evening and &#8211; after spending a chunk of my afternoon reading blog after blog discussing the current BC Human Rights Tribunal events relating to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.steynonline.com\/\">Mark Steyn<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.macleans.ca\">McLean&#8217;s<\/a> &#8211; I&#8217;ve yet to see anything on the local or national news that mentions these events.  Sure, Andrew Coyne is <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.macleans.ca\/2008\/05\/30\/trial-of-the-century-year-week\/\">liveblogging<\/a> the &#8220;trial&#8221; on the MCLEAN&#8217;S web site and a tonne of other bloggers have taken up the torch, but it strikes me as incredibly lazy for any journalist or newscaster to turn a blind eye to this story.<\/p>\n<p>UPPERDATE 03\/06\/08:  Apparently a few people have picked up on the events and are starting to include them in the day&#8217;s news reports.  Still, it&#8217;s a startingly small number of reports considering the size of the country.  Check them soon as I don&#8217;t know how long they&#8217;ll be available online. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalpost.com\/opinion\/columnists\/story.html?id=2f243985-a1a0-40e4-a5c2-8e92d630160a\">National Post<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/theprovince\/news\/story.html?id=6afda1b4-28f0-4fda-b7c5-0dc1fcd3a0ee\">The Province<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/canada\/british-columbia\/story\/2008\/06\/02\/bc-macleans-human-rights.html\">CBC<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.canada.com\/vancouversun\/news\/westcoastnews\/story.html?id=5e35a23d-e6cb-4cc9-baf9-edd972a25331\">Vancouver Sun<\/a>. <a href=\"http:\/\/canadianpress.google.com\/article\/ALeqM5hr7c4vze2PQ57Av2p307REnuvfBg\">Canadian Press (CP)<\/a>.
