I’ve managed to finish and submit my history paper a day early and am moving on to my nice psych paper. In addition, I’ve completed registration for my summer courses and am well on my way to finishing off the last two years of univiersity. At this point, I’m not sure if I should be proud of myself or disturbed that I’m managing to stay on top of everything this semester…

    what time is it?

In true procrastinator’s fashion, I’m taking a page from Joy‘s book and cleaned up some of my blog links and blogroll today. The most important thing I learned this week is that you should never whine about being removed from a fellow bloggers blogroll when they’re doing a clean-up if you don’t have them on your own list. EEP!

With the cleanup go out all the links I don’t pay any attention to anymore and blogs that don’t exist anymore. In come ones that I should have had on my blogroll years ago – like Joy, Susan, and Amy. There are a few that haven’t been updated in a while that I’ve kept around in the hopes that they’ll start back up soon. It seems to have worked for everyone else when it comes to my blog 😉

I still have a long way to go. I’m missing a tonne of my favourite writers.

So for all those visitors/readers who aren’t in my blogroll now’s the time for you to leave a comment and campaign for addition to my daily reading list.

And for those tracking the silliness that is my return to university I’m providing the following status update: History = 20% complete. Psych(o) = ummm, yeah… I’m getting to it… eventually. Due: Monday, midnight ET.

We were supposed to go to Calgary this weekend to visit old friends but we’ve just learned the hubby has to work *sigh* Now I have no excuse not to work my tail off and finish my history and psych papers with time to spare (they’re due Monday).

On the bright side it’s the silly Hallmark holiday again today and we’ve decided NOT to participate in the grand purchasing program. Rather than spending the recommended *cough* $300+ on presents for each other because we’ve been together longer than 6 months, we’re going to cuddle on the couch after I do some more reading and prep work for my papers.

Love doesn’t need stinkin’ cards and chocolate flavoured calories. However, a nice dinner at home never hurts…

    panic attacks

My mother-in-law will understand this; not sure about anyone else.

The “thing” I was ordered to take down cause I supposedly “talked out of school” ended up being a non-issue. Since Drew didn’t read the blog entry, he didn’t know what it actually contained. A few hours after it was removed, he asks about the content. I told him and his response was “oh, well that was alright then. You could have left that up”.

Ummm, no – not after you had a minor freaking panic attack and I got the big lecture I couldn’t.

    Welcome to my world.

    *sigh*

    it’s the thought that counts…

Drew is home. He arrived just after 1am on Thursday morning and we’ve been spending the day doing the usual “getting to know you” things again. Sure, he was only gone a month and we’re used to much longer separations but usually I’m the one that’s returning home – not him.

As exhausted from travel as I was a year ago, I’m just itching to travel again soon. Since there’s no travel in my new job I guess I’ll have to save all my pennies and try to fit a vacation in there somewhere.

While he was away I asked Drew to look for new PJ’s for me. My current winter ones were on their last legs – the flannel has nearly worn through – and I thought he might find something on sale while he was state-side. Not only did he shop and find PJ’s I’d happily wear in winter but he also didn’t try to sneak in some see through contraption 😉

I was so proud of him until I unwrapped the package. In his wanders to find me the perfect PJ’s, he didn’t double-check the size tags. So, now I’m the proud owner of a small (6-8, which I’m not) set of cat PJ’s that would have been perfect for the chilly nights of spring and fall and an XXL (22-24) pair of red flannels. By checking the size chart on the tags, a L would have been perfect! He also managed to pick up a “remove before flight” sleepshirt from the base PX in a one size fits all that looks like it’s more than roomy enough.

He did pick up a nice brown and white skirt in the perfect size so not all is lost.

On the other hand, we can probably fit the both of us in the XXL jammies. That might be fun to try.
