odd jealousy

A few months back I inspired my boss – a slightly larger woman than I was when I started on the new lifestyle plan – to lose weight. She’s been eating really well, but not exercising much, for the past 2 months. She’s lost about 1/2 of what I have but looks like she’s lost 10x the amount. Overall we’re probably losing at about the same rate. I know it’s all about body shapes and that we’ve got completely different shapes. Still, I can’t help feeling a tinge of jealousy when I saw her in her new jeans and blouse today. I hope I can start looking as good as she does soon!

Rehab tonight. I’ve managed to increase the time I can stand on one leg without falling (or, putting the other foot down for balance & support) from 12 seconds to 66s (left) and 95s (right). I’m working towards 2 minutes per leg. However, I have a feeling doc will up the time limit/goal as soon as I manage to make it to the 2 minute mark.

I’ve discovered the degree of difficulty relating to the swiss ball/soccer ball exercise is proportional to the looseness and thickness of the material the pants I am wearing is made of. In baggy jeans, I struggle not to drop the ball. In running pants or shorts, I don’t have as many problems. Guess I should wear shorts or running pants exclusively when doing my rehab exercises.
