Feast Number One Hundred & Fourty One

Appetizer: How fast can you type?

  • Last time I was tested I was at 83 wpm. I think it depends on the keyboard I’m using though.

Soup: What is your favorite online game?

  • I don’t play any. I am, however, addicted to the many versions of Ratchet & Clank and Resident Evil

Salad: On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 as highest), how intelligent do you think you are?

  • Uh oh! I’ll probably rank myself far higher than I should. I’d say about an 8.5, since my last IQ test tells me I’m a lazy genius.

Main Course: Name three of your best teachers from your school years.

  • I’m assuming this is for grades 1-12 only. Mr. Horgan (3 years Advanced English and Canadian Literature), Mr. Theriault (French, History, Spanish, Entrepreneurship – what can I say, it was a small school), and Ms. Prescott (the only one who could help me understand basic math concepts).

Dessert: What are your plans for this upcoming weekend?

  • Friday night Karaoke of course. Saturday and Sunday I need to work in the garden, clean the house, and will likely meet with a “client” about his Web site design project.

Condiments:

  1. What is your favorite outdoor activity?
Camping and all it entails (hiking, canoeing, fishing, rambling with the dogs, etc.).
  2. Are you outdoors not often enough, too often, or just often enough?
Not often enough, but in Winter and early Spring it’s just too cold to spend much time outdoors. Try to make up for it in Summer and Fall.
  3. When was the last time you slept in a tent?
Hmm, how long have we owned the RV? I think it was probably 5 or 6 years ago. We tried tenting for a year until we ended up waking up in a lake after a torrential downpour. A few weeks later we were negotiating the purchase of our (used) RV.
  4. Where is your favorite beach?
Mispec Beach, Saint John, NB. There’s something to be said for swimming in the Bay of Fundy and being home.
  5. In what social, academic, or professional group are you on the outer fringes of? In what social, academic, or professional group are you right in the middle of?
I refuse to answer on the grounds that I may incriminate myself. This is Canada, I don’t get to “plead the Fifth”.

h/t to Caylynn’s Contemplations for the FF graphic. I shamelessly swiped it from her site.

  3. What a coincidents ! I just met Mr. Horgan, Mr. Theriault, and Ms. Prescott in the Supermarket yesterday ! Lol !

  4. Wish i could do work in the garden, but with bad back it’s not worth the pain. Sad because I know how much work needs to be done out there.

  5. I haven’t seen anyone do condiments before, what a cool idea! πŸ™‚ Did you get them somewhere or make them up on your own? Email me the answer in case I forget to come back and check, please. πŸ™‚ Thanks!

  6. We really should get our game-making people together! I bet they could come up with an awesome new game! Have fun at karaoke, and thanks for visiting my feast!

  7. WoW! 83 wpm?! That is so fast! Jr. College or community college is just a place where you can earn nothing more than an AA degree. Many people (me) go to them just to transfer to four year universities (at a junior level) without having to pay insane sums of money. You can also get certificates…in things like Child Development. Have fun at Karaoke! Thanks for stopping by!

  8. Canadian Lit?! Wow that was a class I’ve never heard of. But I guess since thats where you live you’d have that class. I’d be intereted in taking it. Have a great weekend!

  9. Karaoke night sounds like a blast. Sing well!

  10. Oh wow karaoke sounds like lots of fun. I’m the kind that prefers to sit and listen than actually do :-). Have a great weekend!

  11. Great feast today. Friday night sounds like a lot of fun. Come on over!

  12. You had an Entrepreneurship class in school!? That’s pretty awesome. Were you able to use it anywhere? πŸ™‚

  13. Ginafish – Condiments are from http://www.friday5.org

Ctina – Can Lit was an awesome class. Aside from studying canadian poets, authors, etc. we were introduced to quite a few live examples.

Suki – I actually took the Entrepreneurship class because we had a series of courses that were required and I didn’t want to take a Typing or basic Comp Sci class. I would have been bored out of my gourd taking one of those classes since I’d be using computers and programming since I was 8 *sigh* Anywho, I digress. The answer is yes – I ran my own business for a few years and a lot of the things covered in that class had come in handy.

  14. Thanks for sending me the link to Friday’s 5. πŸ™‚ Much appreciation! I blogged those answers at my ‘regular’ blog: http://www.ginafish.com
