  1. How’s your hand?

Any news from the sandbox? Has his personal kit arrived yet? How about more of the multitude of boxes aiming his way?

  2. Hand is much better. Toes are nearly thawed. Back and shoulder are a little achy since I shoveled both the front and part of the back decks/yard.

Haven’t heard from Drew in days. No email replies to the messages I’ve been sending so I don’t know if his kit or any other packages have arrived. Apparently all of the puppets (with the exception of the lion) have grown legs and run away already.

Based on today news he has another ramp ceremony to go to. Wish I knew how he was doing. Still finishing up the last free shipping box. Hope to send it after work Friday. Must remember to put my letters and home videos in it.

Whee! Nothing like airing personal dirt all over my blog comments.

  3. Not looking forward to doing this next winter with two little kids. We have a HUGE driveway, uphill too, so it must be shoveled (snowblowed).

  4. We have a small (21 in) snowblower that works wonders on the front walkway and areas I need help with but I don’t have the strength to start it. Drew was going to outfit it with an electric start before he left but didn’t get around to it. So, I’m hoping the neighbours will come to borrow it, since the offer is open and only contingent on using it to clear my pathways as well…

  5. We still haven’t had to do our drive yet. But, with that recent snow and the temperatures finally getting above absolute zero, I might bring out the snow blower this weekend.

  6. Downside of living in the city, Sirdar, is that you can be fined if you don’t shovel the sidewalks in front of your home when you’re a home owner. Since I live in perpetual fear of a fine, I dream of snow shoveling fairies frequently and often end up whining and shoveling all on my own.

Which, as a responsible home owner, is a good thing I suppose. However, I do so love those anonymous shoveling fairies when they appear!
