Desperately seeking suit

I spent over an hour searching for my black suit this morning. I was feeling really uncomfortable in the new outfit. Once I had it on it just seemed too dark and severe with the blouse I had picked out. I decided to wear the light coloured camisole style blouse that I had hanging on the hanger with my suit. I thought it might look better with the skirt/jacket combo I bought.
I searched every closet, high and low, and had a minor breakdown but to no avail. I couldn’t find my suit anywhere. I’ve discovered that Drew has six suits (not including his kilt or uniforms) so he won’t need a new one anytime soon.
Me though. I need a suit. The nice classic black one I’ve owned for a few years now. Yeah. That suit.
Our house only has four tiny closets. I can’t believe I couldn’t find my suit in any of them. I did find dress shoes that turned out to be instruments of torture in disguise. But no suit.
The last time I recall seeing it was before Drew cut an access hole in the guest room closet to get into the attic. I know he emptied the closets to make the cuts and thought he’d just put all of the clothes back into the closet when he was done.
Either I was wrong or my suit has decided to go on walk about. I’m hoping Drew reads this and might have an idea where my suit ended up… ‘Cause I really don’t want a repeat of my mad dash search this morning and don’t have the time to search every inch of the house AND get all three of my papers finished this week.
So Drew – any hints?

So other than the latest and greatest weapons of feet distruction, what did you end up wearing?

Jacket from Sears and black skirt from Laura’s that I bought shopping with you.

When I emptied the closet, everything was put on our bed. Then returned to the closet. I havn’t seen it in a while, could be in a garment bag or a suit case. I was planning to do a full clean and reorganize after I returned home. (that way you can’t find anything). My suggestion is just go buy a new suit.

I don’t want to go buy a new black suit. Do you know how hard it was to find that one? I’m dropping the new brown one off at the tailor’s this week but it’s not as classic/timeless as the black one. It would never go out of style – if only I could find it!
I do need new dress shoes though. The ones I had on today were about a half size too big and shredded my heel. Blood everywhere when I got home. Bah!

I’ve been there! Sometimes I wish my things had their own GPS tracking systems so I could find them.

Were the killer shoes one of the new ones? Paul usually has some leather stretch hanging around. We could apply that to the shoes and moleskin to your feet, then put them together.

No. They were older shoes. And they ended up being too big so any type of stretching would NOT go well. Don’t recall them being too big when I wore them in the past. Feet are supposed to get bigger with age, not smaller.

Maybe we need to go shoe shopping again…

Nope. Can’t afford it. No more shopping for me for a while.
Besides, I despise shoe shopping. Renee has no competition for “shoe queen” title from me.

She was having a good weekend too. Mostly we just look.

Please, next weekend go shoe shopping, buy all you want, the money I sent home will be there. This is the perfect time to go shoe shopping, I’m over here fighting for your right to shoe shop (without me).
Please go buy shoes!!

Sheesh! You act like you’re the only one who doesn’t like to go shoe shopping. It’s a dreaded chore for me too you know. I’ve never forgotten the 3 DAYS it took to find me dress shoes for work in Wpg or the hours and hours of searching for a fraking pair of sandles that fit last summer. As soon as I get the brown suit back from the tailor’s then I won’t need to worry about black dress shoes for a bit since I did get a pair of brown dress shoes when out with mcpyper and drummer R last weekend. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
