home fitness routine?

There’s snow and slush all over the sidewalks and it’s not easy to walk around the block at the moment. I have a treatmill and Wii Fit at home but am looking to add a few more activites to my day.

I’m supremely introverted & lack free time due to juggling work and school. Cheesy excuses I know, but let’s be honest and call a spade a spade. If I have to join a gym I’m not likely to go. Which means I won’t be getting any exercise.

So I’m looking for new ways to expand my exerise routing in the home – at least until the snow clears. I think I’ll start with the basic beginner exercises on the Beginner’s Corner section of the site but I’m not sure if I should be using investing in hand weights, resistence bands, or just use cans of food?

  1. I reccomend P90x … my cousin gained about 100 lbs after a car wreck that caused her to go from field work to desk. She was always a bigger girl … “the pretty chubby girl” to callously catagorize….

I did not recognze her. She is absolutly carved and looks soooo good.

good work on your blog. I like.

  2. Yikes! I’ve taken a look at P90x and I think it’s a bit more advanced than what I’m ready for at this stage. I’m still barely managing to do Wii basic step aerobics without hurting myself. Perhaps in a few months when I’m more co-ordinated.

I have a basic yoga video. Perhaps I should start there.

  3. I was about to HIGHLY recommend trying a beginner yoga dvd. I started yoga in October and LOVE it!! Stretching, strengthening, a feeling of calm, deep breathing…honestly, can’t beat it.

Make sure to smile and laugh at yourself a LOT the first few run-throughs, but then it’s amazing how quickly a body will respond when doing the “right” things.

BTW, I viewed the P90x yoga dvd on the weekend, and even that seems somewhat do-able, since you always only EVER work to your own level in yoga.
