I’m a really bad puppy mommy. The dogs annual shots are due in November so we called the vet a few weeks ago to make an appointment. I put the date and time in the calendar so we wouldn’t forget when they were to visit the vet between then and now.

Guess what I didn’t do today?

For some reason I had become convinced that their appointment was tomorrow. Drew had the day off and I was certain that their appointment couldn’t be today because it’s a stat holiday (Remembrance day). Drew asked me to double-check last night, but I insisted (adamantly) that they’d be getting their shots tomorrow.

I was wrong. I checked the calendar tonight to verify the time of the appointment only to see that it was for 2pm today. Not tomorrow. Crap! Now we have to call the vet to beg for a new appointment and pay the fee for missing yesterday’s when we bring them in.

I’m going to be eating a lot of crow this week. Of course, the hubby is loving making me repeatedly say “I was wrong” this evening.
