Thursday Thirteen – Pet Nicknames

We all have them – cutesy names we call each other. It only makes sense that we’d also find silly names to call the furry children too.

Welcome to the 19th edition of the screaming pages Thursday Thirteen.

gotta pick the kid up at the bus stop… more later.

  2. Your blog is AMAZING! I wish I had the time to blog like I wanted to!! I love your list. Cute pets!! I have a St. Bernard and a Newf/Chow mix. I love my babies!

  3. Gotta love the names for the pets. We call our Ellie, Ellie smelly belly and all sorts of others. Stinky is a big one too!

  4. Beautiful furbabies πŸ™‚

    Selena

  5. Those are awesome. Our Sammy cat looks like your Buddha Belly!

  6. Ooo … Furry good idea for your Thursday Thirteen … I may have to borrow it for my next as I am running out of ideas to “meme” about.

  7. You have lovely pets. They have awesome names and cute nicknames. My Thursday Thirteen #34 The 13 Things You Wish You Could Say At Work Edition is up. Stop by if you get a chance.

  8. Those are very cute and creative names for your pets, as is the nicknames, too! I enjoyed my visit to your blog!

  9. What gorgeous furkids! And I loved all their names… we have four indoor kitties, but between them all, many cutesy names!

Happy TT, and thanks for visiting my blog!

  10. Cute list, I will have to remember this for an idea. But of course, your cats don’t respond to any of the names, right?

Thanks for stopping by, still trying to find the time to do that scrolly thing.

  11. Ah, your pets are so cute. Mine are up on my blog, just click on pets in the categories section. We have English Bulldogs…

Anyway, your blog is beautiful! Love the colors πŸ™‚

  12. My poor kitty NEVER gets called by his formal name (Mortimer Tea Flash – named by my four year old). Instead, he’s called puss-puss (by the 2 yr old) kitty-witty, poopie-doo, and, my husband’s favorite, “GET THE HELL OFF MY SIDE OF THE BED”

  13. I’m having major blog envy today. Yours is the second gorgeous blog I’ve discovered today! Just gorgeous!

I think I’ve got a string of names for the cutsies. The cutey they are, the longer the name … I bet one of them is at least 13 words long, LOLOL …

Thanks fo rposting the pictures! They’re adorable!
    Happy TT!

  14. How the devil could you name that lovely baby “Beelzebub?” No wonder you have nicknames for him :-). Sounds like my house. None of the critters know their real names. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I enjoyed seeing your babies–and knowing I’m not the only one who comes up with goofy nicknames for the pets.

  15. All the kids are female except for the baby (Hypnos).

Aside from Thanatos, I didn’t know their names immediately. Than was just so ornery that she practically screamed “This is my name”.

Bubba got her name due to the house we were living in. There was a hornet’s nest in one of the walls (bah! Military housing sucks) and within 24 hours of arriving in the house she started stalking, killing and eating the hornets. Beelzebub just seemed natural after that.

  16. What a fun list! My dogs have lots of cutsie nicknames too. Thanks for visiting my TT. πŸ™‚

  17. Beautiful pets, and cute nicknames.

Happy TT, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  18. Oh yeah, all my pets have lots of nicknames (and so does my hubby πŸ™‚ ). Your pets are lovely!
Thanks for visiting my cars TT.

  20. While our mutt was in his destructive phase he went by the name of Destructo-Dog, luckily he has mostly out grown that now, although on occasion he still regresses πŸ™‚

    Happy T13

  21. Those names are awesome! I didn’t think of how many names we actually call our cat until your post. Proves that they are either really smart and know we are referring to them, or that they’ll answer to anything!

  22. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I love your list of nicknames. πŸ™‚

  23. Such lovely cats and woofies! πŸ™‚ Great names for all of them. My humans have a lot of names for me too.

    Thanks for visiting!

  24. I LOVE this!!!! For my cat Minden, we have several nicknames: Meeno, Minnow, Mr. Mr., cheaty monkey (erm…)…. We call my cat Maggy “MARGE”. And, we call Tigger “Wiggy”. πŸ˜‰ I called my late cat Simba “Ba” and “Mr. Peepers”. πŸ˜‰

  25. Cute names! What a fun subject! Have a great weekend!

  26. I call my dos “Ma petite face noire”(My little black face) because he is yellow, but his nose has always been black, but now turning white, he is old!!
    Great TT!
    How was your trip?

  27. What lovely cats!!

A cat named after one of the names of the Devil, being called “Bubba”…somewhere in there, there’s got to be an Award for Supreme Irony.

  28. Sorry it took me so long to get here. I will come back. Your pets are cute!

That is a great name for a Siamese!

    Have a great week!
