gifties

I was listening to the morning show on the ride into work today and they were talking about the worst gifts you could give your wife/girlfriend for v-tines day (or anytime really). Of course someone calls in and mentions a vaccuum cleaner. Me, I got a vaccuum for my first Christmas with Drew and was thrilled wiht it. To me, it was a thoughtful and much needed gift. Then again, I’ve been known to fill Drew’s present boxes with socks and underwear cause he asked for them. It takes all kinds I guess.

  1. I think any gift that has some thought behind it is good. The ones I hate are the boxes of flowery soap and popouri. They tell me “I have no idea what you like and I don’t want to take the time to find out. So here is something girly, because you are a girl and girls are supposed to like this kind of stuff.”

  2. One Valentines I got a saddle stand and a bridle/bit combination. No it’s not a bedroom toy. Sits down the basement with all the other tack because we don’t have livestock any more.

Another interesting gift I rec’d from said husband was for a birthday a long time ago. Who would expect a .22 gold plated revolver. Took me by surprise, but it is a nice litle gun.
