Apparently I am channeling some form of domestic goddess today. When I woke up I looked out my window to discover it was still snowing. Plopped my feet into boots, grabbed the shovel, and shoveled my front walk, back decks, and backyard paths.

It looked like it would be snowing for hours yet so I decided to make an early morning trip to the grocery store rather than waiting. My fridge was pretty bare so it needed to be done. I woke up my neighbour J to bring her with me. She doesn’t have access to a vehicle so I always give her a call when I make my way to any grocery store. Fabric bags filled with fruits, vegetables, and fish we headed home.

It’s been about three weeks since I’d gone grocery shopping and a month since putting out the garbage. When you eat sandwhiches for most meals there’s not a lot of garbage to get rid of. After putting away the groceries, doing dishes, scrubbing out the microwave, planning the week’s meals, reorganizing the freezer, and putting out the garbage, I tackled the laundry.

Yes, once again I am facing down my arch nemesis, Mr Washing Machine.

I think someone may need to check and see if Drew is still breathing. He may be going into shock reading this.

This evening I’ll be digging back into my Stats texts and Experimental Psych books. Lots more to do before I’m caught back up in all my readings. I was planning on going to the library today but with the roads still messy I figured I’ll stay home and do the research parts of my assignments later in the week.

Tomorrow it’s supposed to snow once again. If nothing else, I’m getting a bit of vigorous exercise as I try to dig out. I’d rather spend time on the treadmill though. It’s warmer and I can watch TV.

Perhaps when Drew gets home we can get a Wii Fit. I’ve heard lots of good thigs about it.

I’m beginng to wonder if I’ve been taken over by some sort of symbiotic house cleaning alien. This is not normal Saturday behaviour for me!
