up off the self-pity couch

Laughing Muse has been amazing these past few weeks – offering tips and hints for lil’ ole unemployed me – from the consultant/contractor employee perspective. So, while I keep my fingers crossed and wait for more interviews, I’m going to do something I’ve been meaning to spend time on for months – finish off the websites for some non-profit organizations and friends. They may not pay much (or at all) but it’ll give me something productive to do next week.
Now, if only I could remember why we chose this colour scheme in the first place…

Thanks for stopping by my spot for TT. Looks like you got a nice thing going on over here so your getting the ol’ bookmark for my easy return. Good luck with landing a job and I am sure that doing the work for the nonprofits and friends will be beneficial and get you ready for star performance.
Wishing you well and enjoy the day

That’s one of the few things unemployment is good for: time to finish up all those little projects.
Unfortunately, it usually also leaves me enough mental downtime that I think of four or five new ones…

Good luck getting a new job!!! I’m sure you’ll find one soon — so sure. It’s great that you’re keeping busy in the meantime. Good on you! 🙂

Oh, She… here’s another reason to stay off the self-pity couch… I just handed you a Thinking Blogger Award. Go check it out! 😀

I have to agree with Laughing Muse. I had a week off from everything a couple of weeks ago, and I finished up a lot of different projects. However, I started work on a bunch of new ones. Now, I’m back where I started.
Good luck with getting a job.
